There were eight barmy botanists in a bus (and a driver)..!

Day 2 of this eXtreme botanical journey, and Dr M has concluded that this group comprises eight barmy botanists in a bus (and a driver!).

So to celebrate this discovery Dr M has started to compose a song to entertain his fellow seven barmy botanists (and a driver) en route through Poland and beyond.

And the more Dr M ponders it, the more it fits well to the tune of “she’ll be coming round the mountain when she comes!”

The expectation is for many more verses to come to describe the adventures that will inevitably unfold over the coming days.

Notes:

České Budějovice – pronounced: Chess-key Bood-edge-of-itchy (sort of and you need to squeeze the syllables up a bit!) – it is a town in the south Bohemian part of the Czech Republic where all eight barmy botanists (and a driver) met up and from whence they embarked on their eXtreme barmy botanical adventures!

Ahoj! – Pronounce Ahoy! and it’s Czech for Hello!

PivoCzech for beer!

Slivo  Abbreviation of Slivovitz, Czech home distilled plum brandy drunk socially to mark any occasion, e.g. waking up, meeting at the bus stop, reaching a destination, some other notable achievement, or simply just feeling like it! And why not? It’s a habit you really need to get into!

Prost! Na zdraví! Cheers!
