    Is this Hordeum murinum the grass type that takes over the grass verges in the housing estates during the dry summer months? How long does it take to grow from seed to flower (seed) please?

      Sarah, Yes that’s the one! It’s a winter annual germinating from August to December and flowering May-August or even later. What is your interest in this plant? Dr M

    As a kid we used to pick them and throw them at each other , they would fly like a dart and stick to your clothes
